Troubleshooting

IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS viewing videos from Stream OWU, please use this guide to resolve the issue. If you are unsuccessful, please check your bandwidth (Step 6) and e-mail the helpdesk with as much information as possible. Someone will follow up with you within a week.

1. Make sure you have the latest version of Flash.
2. Quit other applications that may be running on your computer.
3. Try videos at another site, such as YouTube, and see if those play correctly.
4. Make sure your system meets the minimum requirements for Flash.
5. If you have a wired connection available (as opposed to wireless), try that connection and see if the problem is resolved.
6. Check your bandwidth:
   1. Click on “Chicago, IL”.
   2. Write down the Download and Upload speeds exactly as they appear. E-mail that information, along with a description of your problem (for example, “video was choppy”, “video did not appear at all”), to helpdesk@owu.edu so we can review the problem and provide suggestions.
